HMD Global is hoping a reinvention of the selfie will help the Nokia brand regain its place in the forefront of the mobile market.
Its first flagship phone - the Nokia 8 - features the "bothie".
Using both the forward and rear-facing cameras, photographers will be able to take a picture of themselves at the same time as whatever they are pointing their phones towards.
The Dual-Sight technology allows for video to be live-streamed to friends and to social feeds including to Facebook and YouTube.
The headline innovation of the Android-running device comes at the Finnish company, HMD Global, a private equity-backed firm led by former Nokia employees, attempts to reforge the brand's popularity.

A retro revamp of Nokia's famous 3310 handset went on sale in May, but in financial terms did not come close to challenge the titanic popularity of Apple, Samsung and China's Huawei devices.
The Nokia 8 is the ninth mobile device made by HMD Global, which has acquired the rights to make and sell phones under the Nokia brand.
