Donald Trump and Theresa May hold a call to discuss North Korea as the reclusive state warns it will send the US "gift packages". North Korea could develop missiles that can reach Europe sooner than expected, the French defence minister has warned. Florence Parly told the French military in Toulon there are risks to the continent from intercontinental ballistic missiles being built by Kim Jong Un's regime. Her comments came as President Trump and Theresa May held a call to discuss North Korea, during which the Prime Minister insisted it was "important for the international community to send out a clear message" to the reclusive state. Meanwhile, Mr Trump said on Twitter he is allowing Japan and South Korea to buy "a substantially increased amount of highly sophisticated military equipment from the United States". Saudi foreign minister reacts to UN: ‘We don't want to see Yemenis suffer’

Saudi Arabia denies facilitating what the UN calls an “entirely man-made catastrophe” in Yemen, which has killed over 1,000. Saudi Arabia has angrily rejected a UN report condemning its involvement in Yemen’s devastating civil war. In an exclusive interview with Sky News, the country's foreign minister Adel al Jubeir has accused the UN Human Rights Office of bias in compiling the report. For two and a half years Saudi Arabia has led a coalition fighting Iranian backed Houthi rebels in Yemen. The UN report blames the coalition for much of the civilian death toll, in particular the thousand plus children who have died. Adel al Jubeir is unrepentant saying their report's authors have refused to seek the Saudi side of the story. He said: "We invited the United Nations to come and discuss it with us. We invited

Obama: Trump immigration decision is 'cruel'

The Nobel prize winner launches a strident attack on the decision to suspend the programme protecting undocumented migrants. Former US President Barack Obama has said Donald Trump's decision to roll back the "dreamers" programme is "wrong" and "cruel". In a long Facebook post  made on Tuesday afternoon, Mr Obama said that the move was a "political decision, and a moral question" that was not required legally. "We shouldn't threaten the future of this group of young people who are here through no fault of their own, who pose no threat, who are not taking away anything from the rest of us," he wrote. Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that he will end  the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, giving a six month window for Congress to put forward an alternative. The scheme allows undocumented migrants who arrived in the United States as children to apply for permits to live and work legally in the USA.
